SO this trip to Oklahoma entailed many cover ups and lies but in the end the result was great. We surprised my dad Ray for his 50th birthday, which isn't until September hence the surprise, and we had to tell him many stories to keep it a surprise. In the end he forgave us for our deceptions because we had all the grandkids there so he couldn't stay mad at us. Also we surprised both mom and dad with their anniversary gift which was a video that we all chipped in photos for, but Joe and Alethia spent all the time putting it together, that chronicled their life and their greatest acheivements, US KIDS!!!!!! It was a great trip but the only thing that would have made it perfect is if Curtis could have been there. Maybe next time. Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Happy Birthday to VANCE!!! One and loving it!!!
I can't believe that our little boy is already one. He has been such a joy and we love him more and more each day, if that is even possible. I wish that everyone could be around him while he is growing up but alas we all have to do our jobs and everyone can't move wherever we do. He really had a great time on his birthday. We had a few friends from the ward, the missionaries, and our friend Vania at his party. He was just enjoying himself opening the gifts. I think he liked opening the gifts more that eating the cake. He did a really good job with the paper and loved the ones in bags. His "Theme" was turtles. I know his cake isn't the best but hey it's my first one ever so maybe next year will be improved. He didn't really like the cake much but he loved to touch the frosting and rub it into anything he could. Note how the frosting gradually grows and grows. It was so funny to see the pictures later. He wanted to share with everyone. We took him to the mall and he rode the carousel and I am not sure if he really liked it or not but he sure is cute. He is just the best kid anyone could ever ask for. We love him and hope that you all enjoy these little pictures from his BIG DAY!!!!!
